As consumers on the internet I think we have all given up our email for a freebie! Sometimes for a discount, a free item with purchase, free templates or a free how to ebook! Just about every business offers some type of freebie in exchange for your email.
Should you have a freebie?
Now if you are still reading you might be wondering if you should start offering a freebie. I say YES! This can be a very good strategy to get your brand infront of your ideal client or customer. The perfect way to show off what you can do and what you offer them. A lot of people consider a freebie the first step in a sales funnel. You can use your freebie to take your lead from curious to sold!
Will freebies help me get clients/sales/etc?
Now that you know you should have a freebie let’s talk about the why. Freebies are one of the best ways to expand your audience, and get sales/customers/clients! Here are the main perks!
They show they are interested in you and your services/content/products. You have a new lead!
Your freebie can show them a little of what you can do for them without them having to buy in yet, so that they can get a taste for your offers. That way they will be more likely to buy into your paid offers.
You now have their email, you can use this to send them into your sales funnel. Offering special discounts for other products/services, or begin a email campaign to take them from interested to sold!

Freebies are usually a digital offer! In most cases you would have a place for people to sign up for the freebie by subscribing to your email list. This can happen from a website, a form, or manually!
What if I don’t have a email list?
That is okay! It is never too early to start collecting emails. You should still collect them for later on, or you can write personalized emails checking in on them!
What types of freebies can I offer?
This is completely personal to your business and what you do! There are many types of freebies here are a few examples!
