Is Pinterest Still Worth It?
Is Pinterest still worth it? A lot of people have felt burned by the latest algorithm updates over the last few years. Feeling like they are fighting for just a portion of the traffic that they used to get with minimal effort. I get it! It’s so hard to adapt to platform updates and it can be so frustrating. So is it still worth it to put in effort towards Pinterest? I say YES!
You can still use Pinterest to get eyes on your site, and your posts will still be shown to people for years to come!
But you don’t need to take my word for it! Here are the 2023 stats & my top two reasons to put in the effort!
Reason #1: Pinterest has THE BEST audience around
Pinterest is the 14th largest social-media network in the world and they have a very unique audience, unlike other social networks, people on Pinterest aren’t there to socialize. They are there to be inspired, get ideas, find tutorials, and plan their lives.
They have 445 million active monthly users! That is up 2 million from last quarter. Over the last three years they’ve seen an 11% annual growth.
While the platform is mostly dominated by millennial women, they are seeing a 40% year over year growth with Gen Z and men!
85% of Pinterest users say they use the platform to plan projects.
Reason #2: They help push your content
Pinterest trends take off 20% faster in the first 6 months than they do on any other platform. Their trends also last about 20% longer as well!
People watch close to 1 billion videos on Pinterest every single day!
There are more than 5 billion searches on Pinterest monthly . Also 97% of searches are unbranded which means they are looking for new not known brands! (AKA you!). 80% of pinners say they discovered a new brand on Pinterset.
Shopping engagement rose over 20% in 2021. 75% of pinners say they are always shopping.
Pinterest is still a force! Their greatest asset is how users interact with the platform. They are looking for YOU! Whatever services you offer, or things you sell there is more than likely an audience for you on Pinterest. Yes of course that means taking time to manage your account, you can do it all yourself, or hire a service provider to take the load off!
You might still be skeptical because you used to put in minimal effort on Pinterest and would have gotten a huge pay off. I completely understand that frustration! Theres a lot of factors that could be contributing to that, consulting with a professional is a great way to get back on the right track with Pinterest and start appeasing the new algorithm changes. Any and all platforms have to make changes over time, it can be a lot to keep up with but don’t let that discourage you from getting that organic marketing that Pinterest offers!
